Chirstmas
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas's! Ours has been full of emotions and a pretty rough one. It started off with Derek getting layed off of work till the first of the year. Then him hitting a deer on the last day of work. It wouldn't have been that bad but he was in his sisters car! So needless to say it wasn't the best for his sister either. We feel so awful about. I was sick about it for a week and still feel my stomach turn every time I think about it. It did a lot of damage to the car. But thankfully Derek was okay. There wasn't anything he could do to avoid it. So with all that going on emotions was high. We did get together with everyone on Christmas Eve. Tyler ended up sick and sleeping most of the night. Then in the morning we got up and tried to get Tyler up but had no luck. So I got the turkey on. Then tried to wake him up again. Didn't work so he got up at 11 just in time for company to show up. That whole day was a blur and stressful with 20 people in my house. And having cooked the whole meal for them with my sisters in laws help! NEVER again. LOL Then that evening we had another dinner. Derek and I have decided to do like the 4 Christmas movie. Avoid jumping family to family's house and squeezing everyone in and just go on vacation somewhere new every year. First being Christmas in New York=)

Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
The past few weeks have been filled with Christmas stuff. I love it. We have went and looked at lights, did shopping, lots of hot chocolate, winterfest(outdoor ice skating downtown in the city), all night movie night (watching only Christmas movies with the fam), more lights, youth Christmas party's, church Christmas plays. It's been great. The only thing that could be better is having snow! But oh well. We still have lots of party's and things lined up all week.

Girls Night
So I had my first girls night since having my son 16 and a half months ago. I didn't know what to do with my self. The hour drive to town I keep turning and looking for my baby. It was sad. I was away from my baby for 6 plus hours. After I got adjusted to him not being there, time flew. I had a great time. Autumn had a red white and black tea party! We all got dressed up meet at her place ate way to much desert foods, coffee, and tea. We shared Christmas reading then played games and talked the rest of the evening. I think once on month girls night is gonna be in order from now on.

Whole House
To CLEAN. Boy did I not miss that.lol So now that I am living at home, I am finding the house hold chores to be the most difficult thing ever. Add a 1 year and it is impossible. I can have the living room picked up spotless and move to the kitchen to clean go back to the living room and total tornado. And the toy's! I am almost sure they multiply by night. Oh well I love being at *HOME* and would not want it any other way. I also love getting to be around family and people threw out the week. It makes a long day go fast. This weekend is gonna be a full one. As we are trying to get everything unpacked and reorganized. Dressers need to be moved. Bags need to be unpacked. Crib needs lowered. And the list goes on. And with all that. Christmas shopping needs to be started. I have all the nieces and nephews. But have zero for Tyler or Derek. But I am clam and not stressed a bit.

Goodbye Farewell!
Last night was the final night in the RV. Shocked as I am? We got to talking and decided that Derek is just gonna drive the last two weeks of work from the house. It will only be 30 more minutes of driving for him then what he would be doing from the RV. So please be in prayer for him. He will be driving an hour and a half to work two times a day. I can not believe it is the end for Tyler and I. Last night I almost cried. NOT because I was sad. But I was ole so happy. Of course tears of sadness will come I'm sure. How could they not? So this is my very last post of living on the road. I will be packing up things this afternoon to take *HOME* tonight!

Sick Boy
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I spent the week with a sick baby. Throwing up and diarrhea=( Every night I would wake up covered in one or the other. It was awful. For him and me! I thought he had the flu but never has ran a fever. Then on Saturday I was going to take him to urgent care because it still wasn't any better. But before I did I looked really good in his mouth and the two top eye teeth are popping threw. The poor boy has the hardest time with teething. He stayed on the sofa for six hours straight. It was so sad. He still isn't 100% but is getting there. So with Tyler being sick the past 8 days not much has went on. We did get our Christmas stuff up though.
Now we are back in Kansas. Counting down the days till we move back home. We got three weeks left! Two weeks left in the RV. Then we will move it back home. Then the last week we will stay in a motel. I CAN NOT believe it is this close. I want to jump, scream, cry, throw a party, and well you get the point. I just pray the lord has the perfect job back at home for us. I want the days living on the road to be over with. It has been a long bumpy road.

{ten} when flying, do you prefer the window or aisle seat?
I like the aisle. Which is good because Derek likes the window.

Veggie Tales Live!
So Tyler absolutely loved the show. His reaction to it was priceless and something that I will never forget. I am so glad we got to take him. He stood in his seat the whole time. Jumping up and down, dancing, and clapping so hard that he almost knocked me out. Now he sings all day long. And has started saying BOB. Everything in his jabbering is about Bob. It's really cute. The show was really cute. But I don't know if anymore kid shows are in my future though. Something about a bunch of kids running wild and parents not doing a thing about just gets to me. I never thought I would see a 6 and under mosh pit. But boy did it come close. There was even kids climbing on stage! It was total craziness. Here is some pictures. I couldn't get any of him watching the show because it was so dark. This one of him is during intermission.

How About Iola,KS/Ty-Ty/Me
So after I did all that calling and found us a new place to live, Derek calls. They switched towns. Of course they did. So they will be working in a town called Le Roy, KS. But we will be staying in Iola, KS. We will be a little over 2 hours from home. We will be staying in motel for the rest of the week. Then on Saturday after Derek gets out of class we will move the RV down and get things set up. That is if they don't change there minds again.
So moving on. Tyler. OH Tyler. That boy I think started his terrible twos. He has been testing the waters a bit to much lately. The process of the pacifier is coming along. He only has it at bedtime. He is all most to the point where he forgets about it. So I hope it will be gone before to long. He has started saying Ty-Ty which is so cute. But has also starting taking off his cloths:-/ Every time I turn around I am having to get onto him and put his shirt and pants back on. GRRR I don't like it. He love veggie tales. And this weekend we are taking him to see Veggie Tales Live. I can't wait. I know he is going to love it!
{one} do you collect anything? if so, what and how long have you been collecting?

{six} how early do you start your holiday shopping?
Most years it's 2weeks before Christmas. LOL But this year I started early and have 4 gifts bought.

Independence,KS
Is going to be are next stop. We will be moving there tomorrow. I always hate going from a big city to a little rat hole of a town with nothing. The town has one ran down motel from what the guys say. If that's how guys describe it you know it can't be pretty. Good thing we have the RV. Lets just hope it makes the trip. I have been searching all day for a KOA park. But there is none in that area. So my days of free cable and wifi on the road may be over. The only good thing about the move is we will be closer to home. Anywhere from two hours or even an hour. Depending where we find a camp ground. I have a list of numbers to call and get info on. I also needing to be organizing and packing up in the RV for stuff don't dump out everywhere when driving.

Melt Down!?!
I think so. So in the three years of being on the road with Derek's schooling and training I had my first melt down last night. It was awful. I have been able to deal with it all up until the last month before he is done. What is that about? Maybe it is just three years worth of stuff all hit me. I don't know. I do know I want to be home. These last few weeks have been the worst. The stress is so high right now because of the job. We will be moving locations sometime this week. But don't have any idea where. Derek should be done. But they are giving him the run around. They are making him go to class. Even though he has everything done. So when he goes to class he will just be sitting there. I am so sick of it. It has been three long years of them telling us your moving here and there. Month after month. Year after year. Them being in control of OUR life. Well I want my life back please. Okay so it hasn't all been bad times. Our family couldn't have bonded and been this close had we been at home. We would never have experienced half the things we have. It's all really bitter sweet.

Can I Get OFF!?!
I want off of this two year roller coaster=/ The end is so very close and moving back home but yet so far. We have been up down up down. Derek has called and talked to them. But it just seems like they are dragging there feet about it. It is so dumb. We are so ready to be home. It has been so rough these past few months. To make things worse, Derek has gotten a call from home saying they have a job for him. They don't know how long it will be open though. The hours are perfect. Pay is great. Staying in our house. 15 minute drive to show up for Derek. And the list keeps going. It is so hard to be in the spot we are in. We know Gods will is for us to be back home. But not being able to be there feels well words can't describe it. I am finding it harder and harder to hold it together. I see my son starting to suffer in they way we are having to live. Traveling so much is taking a toll on him. Having to stay in a little RV and not have playing room. And not getting to spend time with his family. I just want things normal and settled.

Another Process
Well I have started another process with Tyler. Getting rid of the pacifier. This week he was only able to have it at nap time when laying down and at bedtime and you guess when laying down. If he sat up I took it. And boy was he not happy. But it is now Thursday and he is doing great with that. Being he had to have that thing 24/7. And when he got hurt. He is growing up fast, and I don't want a 4 year old with a plug. So it is time. I hope he gives it up as easy as breaking him from nursing. But I am afraid it's going to be hard. I don't want to take it from him and him start sucking on his thumb. So we will take it one baby step at a time. Just as long as its gone by age 2. lol

Teething = Death!
Okay it's not that bad but real close. For the past week Tyler has been teething. It has been the worst thing ever. 103 fever not eating, drinking. or sleeping. I have never seen him in so much pain. It was awful. Teething tablets didn't help like they used to. The numbzit burned and hurt him. Drinking apple juice burned his gums. Then his gums started bleeding. Then they decide to come threw a week later. Not fun at all. But we made. We should a have a month or so before we have to do this all over again.

Not Much
Well not much is going on. Still in the RV. Still not at home. Fall is here in KS. We woke up to a freezing place this morning. And had to turn a heater on. It is now warm though. I think I am going to be addicted to hot drinks this year. I have had two cups of hot chocolate already. And can not wait to drag out me new espresso maker out. It's the one I got last year on sale:) I think 20 bucks and its a 200 plus dollar one. Awesome find. Well instead of rambling I will put up some pictures of Tyler at 14 months old!

Week 2
Well it's week 2 in the RV. We are getting more settled into it. I put up some fall decorations to make it more like home. It's starting to feel right. You have to be super organized to fit three peoples things in such a little space. It's been a chore but I am getting it. Tyler is adjusting pretty good as well. He loves running around the park. He is even talk of the park. People are stopping by and asking to see him. Because they have heard so much about him from so and so. lol They all have adopted him as there grandson. They all know his name, birthday and age. They say he is the cutest boy ever! Tyler is becoming a hoot. We went to Derek's old high school for a football game, and Tyler LOVED it. He yelled and clapped and did his arms up for touch down. It was soo cute and funny. He was way into it. We are planning to go to the college game this weekend. So it should be lots of fun. He is growing up so much. And his personality is jumping out.

Home
Well we are now home in Lawrence, KS. The RV made it! What should have been an 8 hour drive turned into a 12 but it's all good. We got things set up and yesterday was our first full day in it. Last night a nice big storm blew in to welcome us. I was only scared all night long and had Derek up most of the night. Thinking we where going to blow away.lol But we didn't. The grounds here are really nice. They have a big play ground, a huge corn maze, a jumping pillow, canoes, game room, free wifi, and free cable! Just to name a few. It is a very different living style but I think it's gonna work. It is going to save us sooo much money. I meet three of our neighbors all staying threw the winter. They seem nice. All staying for different reasons. All retired also. So Tyler is going to end up with a few sets of adopted grandparents. haha They just loved him!

Moving
Yep we are yet again moving. This time to Lawrence, KS. Which is 20min from Topeka. Lawrence is also where KU is. Wahoo another college town. NOT. Derek will start there Tuesday. I checked rent up there ya right. I about hit the floor. The cheapest I found was 1200 a month for a 1br 1ba apartment. So as I was talking to mom she told me that I could have her motor home. So it looks like Derek and I will be going out to Colorado this weekend to look at it and fix it up. If it will work for us. It is going to be a huge change for us. I'm not sure what to do or think. It is a new chapter of our crazy life so we shall see. The only thing that is good about any of this is Derek should be done by November. The job he will be moving to will give him 40 hours a week hot time. I am praying it will go by fast and we can live in such a little space. You never know what life will throw at you. So here is our home to be. I know I can tough up and handle it. I just hope Tyler will be able to. We will just have to start spending all are time outside playing. I can't get the movie RV out of my head. lol Oh life!

Teeth Teeth Teeth!
10 to be exact. Tyler has been teething none stop. He got two teeth while at the Assembly. With a 104 fever for four of the days=/ Then over this past weekend he was running fever again and last night I was looking in his mouth and saw that his molars had broke threw. So maybe he will get a brake before more start to come in. He is a trooper though. I still sit and think how lucky I am to have such a great baby. He has never been a hard baby. Always easy going and good. I am truly blessed. So with all the teeth coming in comes the next goal for us. Getting ride of the pacifier. Which I think is going to be the hardest thing to deal with. Of course I thought breaking him from nursing was gonna be the killer. But it showed to be easy. ( For him anyway. It broke my heart) So we shall see. He is really attached to the plug so it does scare me. I mean we have had to stop at walmart in the middle of a trip to buy new plugs because his was lost. And I carry at least 4 with me where ever we go. If he gets hurt that's the only thing to help it all go away. Has to have it for naps and bedtime. So ya

Vacation And Assembly!
We had a great relaxing vacation. We went to the NC Battleship. Walked down town. Went to Wrightsville beach, Kure beach, Carolina beach, and Fort Fisher. Walked the boardwalk. Slept in and ate. lol Just good family time. I have a bunch of pictures but blogger is not working. I have them up on FB. So ya. Next the Assembly! WOW!!! It was one of the best. I was so so so blessed. And am so thankful we where able to go. Words can't describe how AWESOME it really was. Flying went great. Tyler did great. The lord worked out the car rental and we where able to have it the whole time. Tyler even did really good during the Assembly considering he was running a 103 fever for 4 of the days. And ended up getting two more teeth in while there. Oh and fully started walking while gone.

What A Weekend
My weekend began on Thursday afternoon. Derek had been off work Wednesday and Thursday due to hurting his back and not being able to walk. So Thursday morning we got up and headed for home. Only for our suv to brake down two hours down the road! We where between towns about 16miles to one and 30 from the other. In at least 100 degree weather. But thankfully some workers of KDOT stopped. Only because the seen we had a baby. But any way the called a sheriff and he came and picked us up and took us into town to the station. Where we waited 4 hours for Derek's dad to drive from Oklahoma pulling a car trailer to load up are dead car. But we made it home around 9. We still don't know if the engine is blown or what is wrong with the suv. We are waiting till after the assembly to worry about it. Next comes Friday. We got to sleep in till 9. Which was great. I did 3 or 4 loads of laundry. Then got ready to go into Tulsa. Tyler had his one year check up and shots. Well the Dr office was having problems and we where there for 2 hours. Then talking to the Dr about Tyler's food allergies. He said he wanted to do some blood work and get a complete list of what all he is allergic to. So that meant going to the children's hospital for blood work. But that had to wait because we had to rush to go get Tyler's birth certificate. Where that took 2 1/2 plus hours of waiting. There was well over a hundred people there waiting to get them. CRAZY! Not something you want to wait last minute for. I thought I was gonna have to beg for it when closing time came and I still was waiting in line. But they just locked the doors for nobody else could come in. After getting it we headed to the hospital for them to draw blood. My poor boy. Two shots plus blood work. Not his day. I was so threw with town I just wanted to go home. Plus Tyler was getting fussy from his long day. So the last minute shopping didn't happen. Saturday. We slept in till 11. I think. But that was only because Tyler was up all night. Once we got up and around it was full on house cleaning. We finally got everything unpacked from the move last month. I did not leave the house once. We even ordered pizza. I got so much done. Then that evening we packed for the assembly. We wont make it home before we leave so we had to load everything up and take it with us. After that long day I was up with Tyler all night yet again. (him teething) So come Sunday morning my alarm goes off for church and I just turn it off. Can you say late. Now Monday is here and all is going nice.

Getting Ready.
With less then two weeks before we leave to go to the Assembly I am feeling stressed. We have to pack for it this weekend. Because we will fly out of Wichita after the work week. Not giving us a chance to go back home and pack. I have never had a baby flying so I am going to have to check on all the rules of that. Do I need some type of ID or proof of age for him? How do I go about his car seat and stroller? Can I bring him food, milk, and juice on the plane? Is his diaper bag considered my carry on? Just to name a few. I still have to get the car rental. But I can not believe the rental price. It is going to be more then then motel room. I also still need to figure out what we are going to do on our mini vacation before the assembly. I so can not wait to be there. I am so excited that we are getting to go this year.

Day 1 In Motel
I am about to die! When we checked into the room last night I was in shock. We have had to stay in motels a lot with this line of work and schooling my husband does. The longest time being 9 months. (the whole 9 months i was pregnant might i add) But for some reason it hit me harder then ever. I feel like I am confined and can't breath in this thing they call a room. We can't get a rent place because this job is only gonna last for 6 weeks. Then you guessed it another move. *pulling hair out* So I am going to try and get threw this week then I think Tyler and me are gonna just stay in Oklahoma at home. I don't want to be apart from my husband but I feel that it will be the best for my son. But at the same time not. It is a hard choice. Being I hate staying at home by myself. I know my son and I are going to miss Derek like you can't believe. But it's not stable. It's not fair to my son to be in a small motel room eating out every meal. Not having all his things. At the same time it's not right for him not to get to see his daddy every day. Or for him not to be able to play with his daddy. Have him sing and kiss him goodnight. And so on. What to do? I could stay a week at home stay a week on the road. But again soooo not stable. To up and down. Thank you ladies for all your prayers. And please keep them coming.

Moving
So Derek came home Thursday and said we are moving. We had two days to get everything packed and moved down to Oklahoma. It has been crazy. I need a month to get things in order but I only have a week to do it before company comes and stays for Tyler's birthday. I have to combine things to furnish two houses in one. It is scary. But I'm just gonna do my best and it will have to work. We got moved to Manhattan, KS. Where we hope Derek will get his hot time fast and we will be done and moved back home by Christmas. Bad thing about it all is we are going to be staying back in hotels until we see if is going to be stable enough to get a house or apartment. So please help me pray things will work out. I don't think I could live in a hotel with a 1 year. It was hard with just me and Derek so I can't even think of how hard it would be on him. I don't want to have to eat out every night and not have a home cooked meal for my son or us. The stress right now is a killer.

It's Done!
My baby has grown up. He is completely weaned. Never put up a fight. It was the easiest thing. (for him) I think I was the delay of it actually. I cried the first night. Then the second. I can not believe it. Just like that it's over. I knew I wanted him weaned by his first birthday but 14 days early? And just saying 14 days till his birthday makes me cry. I have got to get it together before his party. His decorations came in the mail yesterday. We have went and looked at cakes but still are not sure for that. Then this weekend we will be doing his shopping. I still have no clue what to get him. What does a 1 year old really need? If it was up to me I would just buy him cloths, but to Derek that is a big no! It has to be toys all around. So we shall see what we end up with.

Home At Last!
We had a AWESOME convention. I was truly blessed. Words can not describe it. A lot of changes where made. We also got a new pastor. I'm looking forward to the new year. It was great getting to see everyone and visit also. Tyler did pretty good. Although he was afraid of everybody. People is just not his thing. (so the assembly should be loads of fun) He has been playing none stop all day. I think he is happy to be home to! We had to stay an extra day because storms where so bad we could not travel. But that just gave us some more time to visit. I'm sad to say I didn't get any pictures=( I even took my camera but never got it out.
