What's new. Let's see. We are no longer in Colorado:( We made it to Kansas at the early hours of 2am. While in Colorado we had a great time visiting everybody. Did some site seeing. I took Derek to the Pueblo lake and we walked the river walk in the freezing cold. We had to stop on a coffee shop to get a warm drink and warm up a bit. We went to Garden of the Gods and the Olympic Training Center. Again it was cold. Focus on the Family. Casa Bonita in Denver. Colorado is an outdoor state so anything you do your pretty much outside. Which in the summer is great.

Oh while there are Suv broke. We had power to the windows the radio worked and the lights but it would not start. This made me so unhappy and very stressed. I wanted to scream cry you name it. Not to mention that Derek had gotten laid off of work and hasn't worked for two weeks now. Anyway back to the SUV. We had to call Ford in Pryor to see what the warranty covered. Call insurance to see if we had roadside assistance to come pull our SUV to a Ford dealer here in Colorado Springs. As we talked to dad to see what it could be and how much it could run us it was not looking good. We finally got things figured out. Roadside came and picked it up and we followed them to the shop. We dropped it off at 1pm and they said they would call at 2:30. So 3 came around and we didn't hear anything. So we drove down there. We talked to the guy and they had no clue what was wrong. They said they had to call in a specialist and that they would lets us know as soon as they found something out. (A SPECIALIST Yikes $$$$$) So then I was really sick. But thankfully as we were getting ready to leave we seen it come driving around the side. We got back out and went in they said they found the problem. As I took a deep breath and tried to prepare myself for the worst he began to tell us. It was a short in the wire to the starter. So we sat there while the fixed it. I was shocked when we went to pay. They fixed it for less then they quoted us. Plus they took it threw the car wash. Which it needed very badly. It was so dirty. Plus they washed dad's truck for him too. For free. They took real good care of us. So needless to say it all worked out. Sorry about rambling about that i should have already posted about that. But I haven't had time till now.

So we will find out if there is any work tomorrow. Other wise it is back to Oklahoma. As Derek and I have talked it wouldn't hurt are feeling a bit if we didn't have work this week. We both want to be home in are own bed. We haven't been there since New Years. So if we get to go home we can stay 3 whole nights there before having to head out to Arkansas for Youth Convention. Oh the life of a lineman. I have been sick for about 6 weeks now. Derek had been lucky to not have caught it till today. It is starting to hit him hard now. This morning I woke up with a bad ear ache. I have had everything else but that, so go figure. Guess it was time for that now. Grrr. Well its getting late.

Pictures

The Balancing Rock. Pretty scary. I thought for sure when we went under it then would decide to fall down.

Another part of Garden of the Gods but I can't remember the name of these rocks. Sorry

Kissing Camels. Can you see them?

A view from the top of the gift shop

This is at the Garden of the Gods gift shop and visitor center. Isaac showing off his smashed penny.

"Feel the rhythm feel the ride get on up it's Bobsled time"

Hanging on for life

Isaac doing a pull up in the hall of fame room

Outside walking taking the tour of the Olympic Training Center. A very pretty view. Also very cold out. I didn't know it involved walking outside so I didn't bring a jacket. Talk about freezing.

It's sad when people you know, became people you knew. And when you can walk right past someone that at one part in your life was a big part of your life, and how you used to be able to talk to them for hours about the little nothings in life, and now you can barely talk for 5 minutes. It is truly sad. I was talking to a friend today and it came up about people from school that we knew. I haven't lived there since I graduated so I have lost touch with many. So I don't know what has been going on. So as we were talking she started telling me about all these people that we had knew that passed away. I was shocked about how many of them that there was plus that I knew some and others I didn't. It really bothered me.

Then I got to thinking about my last trip to Colorado. I ran into who was my best friend in elementary school till my freshman year in high school. I didn't even know who she was. My mom happened to work with her and told me who it was. I am not even sure she knew who I was. So that just shows how much things can change. But then you have those friends you have known as long as you can remember and that are so close they are like your sisters. You stay in close contact with them and you know each and every little detail. Well hope everyone has a wonderful week. I'm in Colorado so i don't know how much I will be posting.

New Year

Hope all is well starting off this New Year. Hope it to be better then 2007. Looking back over the year wow. A lot happened in that year. Our life has changed so much in just one year. And I know there is going to be so many more changes this year. I don't know if I'm truly ready for it. I know what changes are going to happen but it still makes you all crazy. But I look for 2008 being new and different.

New Years resolutions. Everyone talks about it but does anyone really do it. I was reading somewhere about it and it said NO. It last for two to three weeks. That's kind of funny. If you ask me. Because I am one of them. ha ha And so yet again like every American I'm going to set something in hopes of accomplishing it. But I am going to try and bust threw the on going chain of failure and succeed. I got everything for it and I'm ready to do it. It's not something unrealistic. So we shall see what happens.

Derek is working late tonight and has to work tomorrow as well. But good news is we only have two weeks left on this job and then it's bye bye Marysville,KS. It should go by real fast. Derek is only working next week then were off to Colorado again. He wants a vacation from working. So we are going there to go snow boarding a few days and visit of course. It's feels like I live there again. I have been to Colorado more in the past two months then I have in Oklahoma. Maybe it's a sign. ~grin~ Anyways that is it for now.
