Blah

So I can not stand thunder storms, tornado's, wind, etc. I thought Derek going on call once a month was bad with working for the city. I was wrong working for the union is by far worse. He has been working so much overtime. I hate it. As I type this Derek is in Iowa working. Don't have a clue when he is coming home. The call to go there was random. We knew storms was around but not Iowa. So it wouldn't be to bad but whatever your doing at that moment you have to drop. In my case it was calling to cancel my delivery I was waiting for. Confused yet?

We finally broke down and decided we where going to buy a sofa and bed. We have had all we can handle on using a futon for a sofa/bed four days a week for four months. So I spent all of Wed. shopping for just the right bed and sofa for the apartment. Get everything all set up and storm call. I don't like staying by myself in town with family around so it is another to stay in another state and not know anyone and nobody around. So I had to pack up and drive to Oklahoma. Thus being the cancel my delivery. It wouldn't be that bad but more then likely I will be getting stocking fees added to it. ugh

With all that going on I have enjoyed my time so far. I've got to spend time with Ashton. Today we went to the park. Then went to my house. I mowed and he played on the bike and helped mow. Then we played some more. Heather and I was able to start up a game of hand and foot. Which I have not got to play in months. It was way over due. I have done and plan on doing some more TLC to the house. Well this has been long and it's getting late. If you can remember please pray for Derek and also the other workers. He will be working 18 plus hours straight with 7 hours of sleep each night. And he started doing this with little of sleep at the start of the week when he worked 24 hours straight. He has no room for any mistakes with his job. Neither does any of the other men working. Till next time. Take care.

Weekend Fun

I should say day of fun. Derek only had one day off. So we went to to the Zoo and did some shopping. We had a good time. I have never been to a Zoo with so many animals out and about. Most of the time they are sleeping or can't see them. Not this one. The only one that was sleeping was the wolves. And I think that the heat had something to do with that. It was hot! They even have a boat ride tour thing. Well here are a few pics.

Long Time

Boy it has been awhile. We have been so busy this past month that I haven't had much time to sit down and blog. In the past month I have been to Colorado to be in my friends wedding. Derek as been on over night storms. We was able to see Jeremy, Darren and there wifes. We went on a mini vacation. We are preparing our house to sale. Derek has completed another step in his apprenticeship. And is moving on up. I have decided that I will be doing some online classes here sometime in the future. And so much more that I can't remember. So hope all is doing well. Well this is short but I have to finish up laundry so I can get home. I'll try and do better now that things have slowed down.
